Babble & Rum Restaurant
Babble & Rum is a new riverside restaurant at Riva Surya Hotel, offering all-day dining (Thai and European cuisine) with a breathtaking view of Chao Phraya River.
Located along Pra Arthit Road, which is an old town of Bangkok, you will expect lots of old buildings. If you are looking for a comfortable place to dine around that area, this is the place to go!
I started off my lunch healthy, with some salad.
Smoked Salmon & Avocado Salad. I’m not a salad person but I can literally finish this whole plate myself if I’m not eating any other dishes. It’s so fresh and refreshing eating this, with different textures and flavours bursting in my mouth.
Green Curry Chicken Pizza. If you love green curry, you must try this! The green curry is flavourful and the cheese makes this a very filling dish. This is good for sharing.
Tom Yum Cocktail (Vodkha, Triple Sec, Sweet and Sour Chilli, Lemongrass). This is one of their signature cocktail and I love it. It really tastes like Tom Yum with that little spice, in a cold version!
They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I prefer seating outdoor (alfresco style) to enjoy the breathtaking view while enjoying my lunch. It will definitely be better to chill out in the evening when the sun sets.
They have another section on level 2 which gives you an elevated view.
Perfect if you have a big group of friends. You can just chill out on this big sofa.
Over here is a stylized manuscript from the traditional anthem that accompanies the magnificent Royal Barge Procession.
Delicious food served. The food is a fusion of Thai and European cuisine. The riverside dining experience is just phenomenal.
There are not many well established restaurants offering such a good experience in Pra Arthit Road. Babble & Rum even offers a riverside view. Most importantly, the food is good too! A must visit even though you are not staying in Riva Surya Hotel.
