Bangkok’s Christmas 2016

By Wilbur Suen

I love December because of Christmas! During this special season, there is an inexplicable sense of joy and love in the air. Christmas carols are played, shopping centres and hotels decorate their Christmas trees and you get to receive presents too during gift exchanges.

But do you know the true meaning of Christmas? It is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, his incredible act of love. John 3:16-17 – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” It is definitely a season of great joy!

Usually around mid December in Bangkok, cool winter winds can be experienced. The weather makes it really lovely to just take a stroll and enjoy the various Christmas trees and lighting put up by the various shopping centres and hotels!

Central World

This year’s theme at Central World is “Winter White, The Garden of Happiness” where they encourage people to “Lighten Up Together”, with a better 2017!
