The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam

By Wilbur Suen

The Berkeley Hotel is a new 4 Star Hotel in Pratunam. It is located diagonally across Platinum Fashion Mall, making it one of the preferred hotels for those who love to shop at Platinum. This hotel is huge with a capacity of 800 rooms!

Berkeley guarantees “A Touch of Elegance”. From the design, it indeed looks luxurious, which is a combination of Thai and European design.

Rooms

There are 2 towers in Berkeley. The main tower houses the Luxury Rooms which offers a better view of Central World area and has an “open concept” bathroom. The north tower houses the Premier Rooms which has the same facilities as Luxury Rooms, but a “normal concept” bathroom and a normal window view. In both towers, they have King/Twin Rooms and Corner Suite/Family Rooms.

I stayed in the Luxury Corner Suite which offers a panoramic view of Central World area, excellent especially if you want to watch fireworks during special occasions.

This is a very big room and especially suitable for families.

The “open concept” bathroom. For couples, you may opt to leave it open, but for families, I’m sure you would leave it closed.

+ Like

A new hotel located in the heart of Pratunam. Convenient access to shopping malls and markets.

– Dislike

The hotel seems luxurious but the workmanship of the rooms could be improved. Fixtures and fittings are all movable, not placed properly, making it less luxurious.

= Conclusion

If you are looking for big rooms with full facilities, you will like this hotel. But if luxury is your thing, it might not be up to standard. Still, a good choice for families and if you are doing most of your shopping in Pratunam.

Hi! May I know roughly how much does it cost from the airport to the hotel? 🙂

    • It will cost about 250 to 350 baht by meter.

  • Gavin Goh

How much is it if I took a van to the hotel from the airport?

    • You will have to check with Berkeley Hotel on the rates for their airport to hotel transfer. 🙂
