Hotel De Bangkok

By Wilbur Suen

A relatively new hotel situated in Pratunam. However, it is not near to Pratunam Market and a walk of about 5 to 10 mins is required to reach Pratunam Market.

The hotel is situated inside Soi 12 Ratchaprarop. If you are scared of dogs, do be careful as some can be spotted there.

Upon reaching, cool down with the complimentary welcome drink provided by the hotel.

An “open” concept corridor, without air conditioning. Do note that the lift is very small. Hence, you might have to take turns to use the lifts.

Spacious, modern and clean rooms. There might be mosquitos in the room but not to worry, just contact house keeping and the problem will be resolved.

Quite a spacious bed. If you are a very light sleeper, you may want to note that the dogs might bark at night. So either you have your ear plugs with you or just stay at another hotel.

The breakfast provided is standard American Breakfast, per head serving, but it is quite filling. No buffet style breakfast here, but not to worry, as there are so many other delicacies along the streets of Bangkok.

In summary, the Pros and Cons:
+ Near to Airport City Line
+ Spacious and clean rooms
– Poor location (Away from Pratunam Market)
– Dogs in vicinity tend to bark at night

Hello there, I’m going to Thailand on May, and I’m going to stay in this hotel. I read in other sites that it’s better to take notes of the hotel address and maybe print out the map. Do you think I need to do all those things to make the taxi driver to understand the location better?

Recently Stayed in this Hotel. Best place. I am business traveler, so I need to keep visiting Bangkok. I stayed other places in Bangkok. But this make me impress. 1. Instant Service. 2. Tour Package for go around in city and outside city. As I have free time, I prefer to book city temple tour + A night show in cabaret. 3. Large room with Balcony. And Breakfast is Good for the price I pay. 4. So much near to Airport Rail Link. Pratunam is always traffic area. Its good to be here when I need to get back to… Read more »

Stayed here last year, the location is quite far away from the main shopping areas. Would expect to walk 15mins to reach Pratunam Market. Some taxi drivers would have no idea where the hotel is located. Get a contact card from the hotel ready when you take a taxi, at least they can call up the hotel for directions. Rooms are ok, clean and quiet. 7-Elevens are just around the corner and opposite the main road. Overall is ok.
