Kiriya Spa

By Wilbur Suen

Kiriya Spa

Kiriya Spa is located inside the stylishly designed hotel, The LIT Bangkok Hotel along Soi Kasemsan 1, close to BTS National Stadium.

Kiriya Spa - Waiting Area

Undulating curved walls and exotic lighting beckon guests into “Kiriya” Spa, to have a time and place to take recess from the excitement of the city. Treatments here are inspired by Thai performing arts and they implement the use of local herbs and spices from across the kingdom of Thailand.

Thai Dance forms from various regions of the country are reflected in “Kiriya”.

Kiriya Spa - Massage Tools

These are traditional tools (seashells, bamboos, etc) used in Kiriya’s treatments.

Kiriya Spa - Foot TreatmentKiriya Spa - Massage RoomKiriya Spa - Therapist

Time now for my 70 mins Calm Massage treatment. This is my therapist, Khun Jeab.

Calm Massage – This nurturing aromatic massage is inspired by the rolling hills of Thailand’s green northern valleys. Long calming strokes enhance circulation, creating a sense of deep relaxation, while the fragrance of fresh pine, olive and neroli and the calming rhythms of wind chimes and small bells help awaken the senses.

Kiriya Spa - Foot Scrub

My massage began with a complimentary Footbath and Foot Scrub. Thai herbs are used to clean and scrub your foot before the body massage. I felt really pampered and like I was royalty already.

Kiriya Spa - Massage Room

My experience at Kiriya Spa was marvellous. I don’t know exactly why, but I knew I was treated like a King inside. It was a very personalised service, every movement was slow and calming and every sound was soft and soothing.

The massage indeed was different as the therapist’s hands were not moving the traditional way. Her hands were like dancing and the touch of each dance was unique and stimulative. It was a new experience for me.

Kiriya Spa - Lemongrass

After the majestic treatment, a hot lemongrass drink helps you to clear the toxins from your body.

“Sweet, soft and slow also generous, gentle and warm are the graceful gestures and manners of welcoming and serving you at Kiriya Spa.” Yes, they are true to their promise! Now, I know why I feel majestic.
