Kway Chap Auan Pochana

By Wilbur Suen

Kway Chap is a favourite dish with Singaporeans. However, this particular famous Yaowarat shop selling Kway Chap is different from what you usually eat.

Kway Chap Auan Pochana’s version to me is more like Bak Kut Teh because of the peppery soup. They make use of Thai pepper and it’s really peppery but leaves you feeling very satisfied, that is if you like such soup. Inside, you will find rice noodle rolls with different parts of the pig. If you don’t eat the intestines, just tell them.

This uncle is working non stop because the crowds just keep coming in. It is popular with both locals and tourists.

Kway Chap Auan Pochana is located just outside Chinatown Rama Theatre, a very old traditional thai theatre.
