Nine Popcorn

By Wilbur Suen

Nine Popcorn is a homegrown brand from Bangkok. I fell in love with it from the first bite.

Nine Popcorn succeeds all popcorn from movie theaters and I would rather buy this and bring it to the cinema than buy popcorn from the cinemas. Yes, it is that good.

The first bite is the light crisp from the caramel followed by the fresh crispy popcorn. You can taste that this is  quality popcorn!

It is something like Garrett Popcorn but personally I prefer this as it’s not too sweet. In fact, the taste is something like Salted Caramel with a tinge of salt in it. You can keep on eating without feeling jelat (sick of it).

Nine Popcorn is founded by Khun Arrak, simply because his mother love Caramel Popcorn from Garrett, and in Bangkok, there were no Garrett Popcorn outlets then. Such a blessed mother!

So, it was just a simple reason that he started Nine Popcorn and who knew that after he started selling, it became so popular.

This is a unique flavour – Cherry Berry. It is very light yet sweet. You should try this! They make use of a new drying technology to make the strawberry dry, keeping its original form and taste without any discolouration.

There are currently 5 flavours:

  • Caramel Cashew (Small – THB$80; Medium – THB$150)
  • Caramel Almond (Small – THB$100; Medium – THB$190)
  • Caramel Macadamia (Small – THB$200; Medium – THB$390)
  • Cherry Berry (Small – THB$100; Medium – THB$190)
  • Cheese (Small- THB$100; Medium – THB$190)

New exciting flavours will also be announced shortly and over here at AroiMakMak, we will keep you updated! 🙂
