Amari Watergate Bangkok – The Most Popular Luxurious Hotel in Pratunam
Updated: June 2017 (Featuring revamped new lobby and food gallery – Amaya)
Amari Watergate Bangkok is a very popular 5 star hotel in Pratunam. If you want to stay in luxury at Pratunam, this is the hotel to go. Located directly opposite Platinum Fashion Mall, it is a popular choice for both families and couples who are coming to Bangkok for a shopping trip.
In 2016, Amari Watergate went through a major renovation which included the lobby and a new food gallery called Amaya. Amaya is now one of my favourite place for irresistible grill buffet.
Amari Watergate is not new to me because I stayed here before when it was newly opened in 1994. I still remember it was my favourite hotel at that time because the hotel was so high tech even for the 90s! The rooms are so beautiful and the breakfast was simply amazing!
Let’s check in and take a look at the rooms here!
A step above the Deluxe Room, it comes in both king and twin options. This is definitely suitable for couples and friends.
The washroom here is modern but totally concealed and you have no direct view into the room. Good for those who are shy since many hotels now have see through washroom and bathtubs.
If you are here with your family, this is a recommended room for you. There are only 20 of such rooms available in Amari Watergate. You have a mini living room to gather and also do your work with a proper business desk.
You get a very comfortable King size bed with a large sofa.
A see through bathtub with jacuzzi! No worries, you can close the sliding doors for privacy!
This is a second washroom at the living room, so the Corner Suite is definitely suited for 3 pax!
The Executive Club is a step above the Grand Deluxe room. It’s smaller than Corner Suite but it offers extra perks. The Executive Club rooms feature a separate reception area where you will experience an even greater level of personalized service – private check-in/check-out and access to the Executive Lounge. Staying in Executive Rooms, you can have your breakfast at the Executive Lounge too.
This is the top category in Amari Watergate. There is also a Presidential Suite which is actually a combination of 2 Executive Suites together.
The masterbed room in Executive Suite is good for both families or couples here on a honeymoon.
The bathroom is so big and beautiful!
Rooms in Amari Wategate offer you the beautiful views of Pratunam.
Breakfast @ Amaya Food Gallery
Amaya Food Gallery is the place to go for your breakfast. A very large dining area with lots of choices to have a very fulfilling breakfast!
The popular Egg Station where you can get your choice of eggs.
My favourite items for breakfast here.
If you are staying in the executive rooms, you can get to have your breakfast in private at the executive lounge. It’s more private but the breakfast choices are also limited. If you want to have a full breakfast experience, you need to proceed to the Promenade.

Buffet Dinner @ Amaya Food Gallery
Amaya Food Gallery won my heart with their irresistible grill featuring fresh rock lobsters and prawns. The live stations also meant that the food will always be served hot, which is an important factor for me.
This is one dinner buffet you should not miss! Check this post out and you will understand why!
A huge swimming pool with pool lounge and pool bar, for you to just chill out after a long day of shopping in Pratunam.
A very big fitness centre which comes with Squash Court and Yoga rooms.
If Pratunam’s massage parlours are not your cup of tea and you want something more premium and pampering, check out Breeze Spa, without having to walk out of the hotel.
For tailor-made shirts, Amari Watergate is a popular place with Singaporeans to get it done.
Aren’t the rooms and breakfast selections just so tempting? If you want to pamper yourself with Luxury in Pratunam, Amari Watergate is the place to go! Don’t forget to check out the video review of this hotel if you have not. :)
