Frequent travellers to Bangkok staying in Pratunam will notice that there are now more food options but at the same time, it is getting challenging finding a place that has quality food.
When I was informed that there will be a new food gallery in Amari Watergate, I was elated because the new food gallery called – Amaya, features Asian street food and live show kitchen. It simply means that you can get lots of street food and they are prepared fresh when you order!
At Amaya, you get live interaction as you would get on the streets.
Of course, you get to dine in clean comfort.
Station 1 – Thai Enables
Get to eat your favourite Thai food such as papaya salad, prawn crackers, spring rolls, cooked thai dishes and even pad thai!
You can even make your own som tam!
Oh, one of my favourite Thai street food – Moo Ping!
At the noodles section, you can choose the amount of ingredients you want added to your noodles.
There’s also dim sum and I must say they taste good too! Try their charcoal buns overflowing with custard!
Station 2 – Market Grill
This is my favourite station at Amaya! I find myself returning to order more every time.
You get to enjoy delicacies such as rock lobster, tiger prawns, lamb chops, salmon and beef sirloins! Get your steaks and seafood on grill and eat them immediately once they arrive at your table!
My favourite grill includes the rock lobster, tiger prawns and salmon. Irresistible.
Station 3 – Indian
All naans are freshly made and you get authentic Indian food since they have a resident Indian chef at Amaya!
Station 4 – Amaya Deli (Cold items)
Seafood on ice!
If you prefer cold to grilled items, no worries as they have your favourites here too.
Fresh oysters!
Sushi and Sashimi!
Alaskan King Crab lovers, come down on Friday for the Seafood Night or on Sunday for the Sunday Brunch to enjoy it!
Station 5 – Amaya Treats (Desserts)
The signature here is the Thai style ice kachang called “Nam Kang Sai”.
You can choose your own condiments and have shaved ice over it with your favourite syrup.
There’s also a mix of asian and western desserts!
Station 6 – Amaya Bar (not included in buffet)

The above are sharing cocktails and they are ordered ala-carte from the menu.
They have an additional beverage package of THB 650++. This gives you a free flow of red and white wine, soft drinks, juices and water.
Station 7 – Pasta
Choose your own pasta and pizza! They are freshly made, based on your choice of ingredients.
What an enormous spread available at Amaya!
For diners at Friday Seafood Night, each guest gets half a Maine Lobster (imported from the United States) and you can choose how you would like it to be done. Of course, I preferred mine to be grilled! Alternatively, you can have it baked with cheese. It is also served with a sauce of your choice:
- XO sauce
- Peppercorn sauce
- Red wine sauce
It has been a while since I had such a satisfying dinner buffet because everything here is made fresh and I totally love the idea! Plus, the flavours were also on point which resulted in me returning to many of the stations for refills.
If you are in the vicinity or in the mood for some quality and delicious buffet, check out Amaya Food Gallery.
Prices:
