Famous BAKE Cheese Tart from Kinotoya, a long-established Western confectionery store in Sapporo, Hokkaido has arrived in Tokyo.
It was definitely one of the best cheese tarts I have tasted. You should try it if you have not! BAKE Cheese Tart is conveniently located in Shinjuku, at the ground floor of Lumine Est building.
Thankfully, there was no queue when I was there.
There are 3 different types of cream cheese used, i.e. Hakodate (mild flavoured), Betsukai (full-bodied) and French (saltish). Their tart pastry is made from cookies, which gives it a good crunch to the soft cheese.
Cheese lovers, you definitely have to try this. I like the soft and creamy mousse filling and the well baked tart.
I tried BAKE Cheese Tart in Bangkok previously but didn’t like the over-baked tart. I felt the tart was better baked in this branch, probably because it was still hot when I got it. So in conclusion, have a bite of it as soon as you buy it. It always tastes better when it’s fresh.
In Tokyo, the most convenient outlet is probably at Shinjuku. You can refer to the link below for more outlets in Japan, Seoul, Singapore and Hong Kong.
