If you happen to be in Ploenchit district and looking for a good and comfortable place for lunch, check out Bangkok Bold at Central Embassy. Bangkok Bold used to be a chef’s table restaurant in Old Town but they have since expanded into the city and was recently awarded Michelin Bib Gourmand 2020.
Bangkok Bold serves familiar Thai comfort food and you get good quality ingredients for the price you pay.
What’s more attractive is their set lunch from 11am to 2pm. Decently sized-portions of a main together with a drink at just 139++THB.
We ordered their Holy Basil Stir-fried Grounded Pork and Fried Egg together with a choice of drink (Water, Sparkling Water, Coke and Coke Zero).
Bangkok Bold is open for dinner too and we highly recommend you to check their signature Mackerel Fried Rice with Pork Cracklings and Yellow Chillies [190฿].
You can find Thai-inspired drinks such as Lemongrass, Thai Milk Tea and Butterfly Pea (as pictured above).
Bangkok Bold serves authentic flavours using original recipes so if you can’t take spicy, be sure to inform them else, you will need to order lots of Thai Milk Tea. So, if you are looking for an affordable restaurant in Central Embassy, don’t miss this out.
