Do you know about the famous Yaowarat Toasted Bread? Yes, it is not that convenient to travel to Yaowarat just to have your toasted bread fix. If you are a fan of that, you will be happy to know that a shop called Milk Plus just introduced a new item called BunBun.
BunBun is similar to the toasted bread that you can find at Yaowarat. You will be given a choice of various toppings options for your toasted bread. They include the following from 35 Â baht each.
- Sweet Condensed Milk
- Egg Custard Original flavour (Kaya)
- Egg Custard Pandan Leaf flavour (Kaya)
- Strawberry Jam
- Ovaltine Volcano
- Hokkaido White Chocolate
- Swiss Chocolate
- Shredded Pork and Chilli Paste
- Nutella
- Tokyo Custard
- Smoked Ham & Egg
- Smoked Salmon Wasabi
- Shibuya Tuna & Shrimp Eggs
- Smoked Ham Double Cheese
So you have an option of both sweet and savoury.
You bread will be toasted till it’s crisp on the outside.
A little butter is applied to give it that crisp.
Your selected toppings will then be poured into it.
The bread was good especially when eaten hot. I like the egg custard version as it’s warm and the overall experience was just shiok!
Perhaps, many of us will still prefer the one at Yaowarat but if we just want a quick fix and are lazy to travel, this works well too since they are available at Siam Square, MBK and Silom Soi 19.
