Fans of Italian cuisine living in Bangkok should be familiar with the brand Cantina. Their first outlet was at Ari and now they have opened a second branch at the bustling Sukhumvit Soi 11! The branch at Sukhumvit 11 has a slightly different concept and this time round, they are more focused on New York-style pizza, with their sister outlet, Soho Pizza just next door.
Upon entering, half of the space is taken up by the kitchen but thankfully there are more seats on the upper levels.
Soho Pizza had Anthony Falco, a renowned pizza consultant to train the Cantina team on making the perfect pizza, Neapolitan style. The naturally fermented pizza dough is made fresh daily ”“ kneaded and raised slowly for 48 hours.
Per slice of Soho Pizza starts from 120฿ and the whole pie from 600฿. We highly recommend you to try the Roast Mushroom option which is vegetarian and made with roasted mushroom, mozzarella, garlic cream and lemon zest. So good! Plus, Soho Pizza is open from noon till 4am in the morning, so late night party goes, here’s another option for you to fill your stomach on Sukhumvit Soi 11.
Mushroom and Truffle Soup [390฿] – This light and aromatic soup is made from shitake and porcini mushrooms, shallots, black truffle paste, potatoes, cream and truffle oil.
Burrata [450฿] – The usual burrata cheese, cherry tomatoes, shallots & fresh basil.
Fettuccine Cantina [390฿] – This is a must-order at Cantina. The pasta is made fresh daily! The ingredients are actually quite similar to the recommended mushroom and truffle soup but of course, you get your carbs here.
Luganiga Pork Sausage [450฿] – We like the Luganiga pork sausage and it’s topped with burrata, mashed potatoes, rucola, cherry tomatoes and caramelized onions for that extra flavours and textures.
Homemade Tiramisu [200฿] – You need to end your meal with their tiramisu using Amaretto. It’s light and smooth.
Now you know where to go for some good Italian dishes and pizza. And don’t forget, Soho Pizza is open till 4am!
