Central Embassy is the latest luxury development by Central Group who owns major shopping centres such as Central World, Central Ladphrao, Central Chidlom and much more.
Last night was their grand opening with much fanfare and many media and press were around. Nope, I was not invited (AroiMakMak is still young and not many people know me yet), but since I was  in Bangkok, I made a trip down to cover this shopping centre which is currently the talk of the town.
Central Embassy is open to the public from 9 May 2014 and the opening hours are from 10am to 10pm.
It looks beautiful from the outside but it isn’t complete as the hotel section by Park Hyatt is still under contraction.
The interior is very spacious with high ceilings.
There are 6 levels of shopping and dining here.
I know that many of you who will be visiting here will most probably patronise the Food Outlets, so let me show you some of your favourite outlets…
Audrey – This is their 2nd outlet with the brand name Audrey, other than the one at Thonglor. At Siam Center, they are branded as Petite Audrey. Famous for their baby crust pizza, pastas and cakes, do try it if you have not!
Rocket  Coffeebar  – Their first outlet is at Sathorn Soi 12. And this second outlet makes it even more accessible. They are famous for their coffee and all day breakfast.
Yuutaro – This is also their second outlet besides the one at Sukhumvit Soi 51. They started operations in October 2013 and have since been very popular, due to their freshness and quality of food.
Issaya La Pâtisserie
Nara Thai Cuisine
Chikalicious Dessert Bar from New York
Coffee Beans by Dao – Famous their cakes and thai dishes.
Crumb Ice Cream by After You
Ippudo  – The popular Japanese franchise first store in Thailand
EATHAI – Food Market (Food Court + Food Carts + Super Market)
You will need to take a long card when entering. The concept is something like Marche.
You find individual food stalls and they have individual menus very nicely done up as well.
The food stalls here are all very interesting each with their own unique characteristics.
The theme here seems to be rustic  as seen from the design.
If you are looking for something more affordable, you will be glad that they have food carts too where they bring the popular street food into this air conditioned mall.
A mini grocery area.
Want to locate your favourite shops? You can use this interactive directory. Looks familiar isn’t it? Windows 8 Phone. :)
Or if you prefer to human  assistance, you can head over to the information counter.
There are some performances here, but if it’s permanent, that I’m not sure.
So other than food, you can see these familiar luxury brands like Gucci, Chanel, etc.
And also Thann, the popular spa brand from Thailand.
I’m sure you will visit this new shopping mall, for at least one purpose – to eat!
