Famous Thai Milk Tea brand – ChaTraMue is back to Singapore after the previous licensing partnership with (Nam’s Brewing Thai Tea Coffee) ended. ChaTraMue under the previous licensee had several outlets including Far East Square, Tanjong Pagar and Star Vista.
ChaTraMue is now direct from ChaTraMue Thailand, who is the OG of Thai milk teas. All ingredients and equipment are now directly imported from Thailand and they promise to offer a similar taste to what you get in Thailand.
Their flagship shop opened at Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) on 29 August.
Despite seeing tins of Thai Tea leaves, we don’t see any price tags yet. Perhaps, they will start selling merchandises once they settle down because they do have merchandises on sale in Thailand.
If there’s only one drink to order, it will have to be the original Thai Milk Tea [S$3.80]. There are 3 levels of sweetness to choose from (0%, 50% or 100%). For first-timers, go with 100% for the original flavour.
It was raining when we visited, Â but we still had to try their soft serve. We ordered the Mix Soft Serve [S$3.20] and it’s definitely a delicious treat, full of flavours. In fact, we preferred the Green Tea soft serve as its flavour was more distinctive. The only feedback we had was that it melted too fast.
Have you tried Thai Coffee [S$3.80] before? It’s different from what we have at coffee shops and coffee lovers should try it!
There are more options available but we only tried the main items first. My recommendation for first-timers is to go for the original. If you like it, try the other interesting options in future. Those who frequent Bangkok, you will know what to order.
They will be opening a second outlet at One Raffles Place soon. Stay tuned to our platforms and we will keep you update once we have the news.
