The famous Coconut Ice Cream from Chatuchak is now in Singapore!
Co Nut ink is started by a Singaporean, who is a partner of the original Coconut Ice Cream in Bangkok. Singaporeans can now enjoy this delicacy without having to fly over to Bangkok.
Co Nut ink is located in Sentosa, Siloso Beach, just behind Mambo Beach Club and opposite Siloso Beach Resort.
Stop and try! Yes, you got to.
The pricing is relatively high, if you compare it to the one in Bangkok. Well, I guess we have to be realistic, this is not Thailand and rental in Singapore is indeed rocket high!
As for the ice cream, there are two options:
- S$4.90 – Standard Topping of Classic Peanuts
- S$5.90 – Premium Topping with choice of Raisins / Cranberries / Corn / Cashews / Pistachios / Almonds / Walnuts
The first question I asked: “Will there be toppings such as Sticky Rice, Nata De Coco and Attap Seed?” Thankfully, he said yes and that these items will be coming soon.
With the purchase of Coconut Ice Cream, you get Coconut Juice for free!
My verdict: As compared to the version in Bangkok, this version lacked the strong and thick flavour of coconut. It is actually lighter and felt sort of like a sorbet. But having tried several versions of Coconut Ice Cream around Bangkok, I can say that this one is of good quality. Due to the humid weather of Singapore, it actually affects the taste and the speed it melts. Hence, they are still trying to fine tune the taste to suit the majority.
There are plans to open more outlets in the city as well as major attractions. So, do look out for it. AroiMakMak.com will keep you updated once we have news too! :)
Co Nut ink opens their second outlet in mainland Singapore! This time round, it is nearer to town. It is now at the Esplanade, along the waterfront!
They are located just beside the Outdoor Theatre, so you can’t miss them! It is a cute little kiosk with green coconuts hanging around.
At a glance, this is what they offer at Co Nut ink.
This is the main star, Coconut Ice Cream!
They have introduced a new topping, Red Ruby. Now you can have double enjoyment of Thai goodness.
After purchasing your ice cream, you can just sit along the waterfront and enjoy the beautiful skyscrapers of Singapore and Marina Bay Sands! :)
[SG] The famous Coconut Ice Cream (Co+Nut+Ink), after it’s first outlet in Sentosa, opens their second outlet today at the Esplanade. The kiosk faces Marina Bay Sands and The Merlion.
