Here’s an IG Reel of our stay at Conrad Bangkok:

For my recent trip to Bangkok, I did my Test & Go with Conrad Bangkok and it was one of the best decisions I made, especially after hearing horror stories from my friend’s Test & Go at another hotel. Let me give you the low-down on my full Test & Go experience, starting from the moment I landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport.Â
After immigration clearance and baggage collection, I located Conrad’s booth. They subsequently arranged my private airport transfer (note that there could be shared transport options for other hotels), which turned out to be a clean and comfortable Toyota Camry. We then headed to Bumrungrad International Hospital for my drive-through PCR test. The process was swift and did not require me to leave the car.
Once the PCR test was done, we headed straight to Conrad Bangkok to check-in.
Rooms – Premium King
This is the Premium King room where I had to stay in at all times until I received my PCR test result, which will usually take at least 8 hours.
The bathroom is equipped with a TOTO Washlet!
The work desk and ergonomic chair are a great plus for those who plan to get some proper work done.
The view from the room is just breathtaking. Oh, how I missed this!
The Test & Go package came with 2 meals and being a proper 5-star hotel, I was delighted to enjoy their delicious authentic Thai dishes after 2 years away.
After exactly 8 hours, I received a call from the front desk to inform me of my negative results. Hooray! Time to explore Bangkok! Upon return, I did the necessary room change as Test & Go rooms were on a level which we cannot freely move around.
Rooms – Conrad Premium Suite
Thanks to Conrad Bangkok, I enjoyed an upgrade to their Conrad Premium Suite!Â
In the spacious living room, there’s an L-shaped couch, a working table with ergonomic chairs and a dining table.
Conrad’s extra plush mattress and premium pillows ensure maximum sleep quality.
There’s even a walk-in wardrobe!
As usual, you get breathtaking views of Bangkok from the room.
Urban Oasis
The “Urban Oasis” is an outdoor pool area surrounded by some of the tallest skyscrapers in Bangkok, giving you the feeling of being in an urban hideaway.
Dining Options
Breakfast is at Level 2 and you will be happy to know that it’s conducted buffet-style, something all of us love having during vacations.
If you are craving Cantonese dim sum, Liu @ Conrad is having an All-You-Can-Eat buffet promotion at ฿920++ on weekdays and ฿1,180++ on weekends.
The restaurant was full when we visited on a Thursday afternoon, and we soon realized why after scanning through the endless dim sum options on the menu. It will be impossible to try them all in 1 visit.
My favourites were the charcoal salted lava bun, prawn rolls, chee cheong fun with youtiao and yam roll.
Their classic prawn-centric dim sums were very good as well.
If you are not into dim sum, these 2 dishes (left, Sweet and Sour Kurobuta Pork Neck, right, Dongpo Pork Belly with steamed Mantou) from the ala carte menu will make your visit worthwhile.
Getting Around
Conrad Bangkok provides a free shuttle bus that brings you to BTS Ploenchit station at fixed timings. Alternatively, you could also take a 10 to 15-min walk along Soi Ruamrudee to the BTS station.
Along Soi Ruamrudee, you can find lots of street food and restaurants (Royal Osha, Pizza Massilia, Yoka Yoka, Sushi Masa etc.) that are worth trying.Â
A reputable massage parlour (RuamRudee Health Massage) is also nearby, within walking distance from the hotel.
Test & Go scheme
The Test & Go rate at Conrad Bangkok starts from 6,800 baht. For more information, you can visit their website here.
Note: My Test & Go was done on 8 December 2021 and only 1 PCR test was required on Day 1. Day 5 was a self-administered ATK test, as per old requirements.
