Dusit Island Resort is a five star hotel in Chiang Rai situated close to Chiang Rai’s city centre. Dusit is a well established brand in Thailand and you will definitely expect a clean and comfortable stay.

Rooms
Despite being a five star hotel, the room does feel aged and probably will need some renovation soon to attract the younger generation. Other than that, it is definitely a spacious room that will give you a comfortable night’s sleep.

The indoor selection includes an international buffet spread.
But I personally prefer the al-fresco choices, which is local thai style dishes.
My must have item for hotel breakfast! Omelette!
Here’s my ham and cheese omelette, drizzled with some thai maggi soy sauce, ketchup. I had this with Cha Yen. You can also choose to get Thai coffee.
Another favourite here is the pork congee / porridge. You can add in different kinds of egg and condiments to suit your own tastebuds.
Facilities
One of the unique drawing points of Dusit Resort Island is definitely its lush greenery surrounding the area.

Raw materials such as bamboo are used to decorate the garden.
Trees so beautiful that you just need to take a selfie with it!
The swimming pool is also very big. Definitely a good place to be if you want to relax.
