Galleria 12 might sound familiar if you often stay in Sukhumvit area. You might also have heard of Galleria 10 at Sukhumvit Soi 10 before. Galleria 12 is a brand new hotel (opened in December 2015) located just one street away, at Sukhumvit Soi 12.
Galleria 12 emits a totally different feel from Galleria 10. Galleria 12 is branded as “slick and vibrant”. I prefer the concept and vibe here as it is more refreshing.
The staff here is friendly and always ready to assist you.
At Galleria 12, there are 4 room categories. In this post, I will just be reviewing one room type since the interior and decoration of the rooms are similar.
Club gSanook Suite
When I first entered the room, I was greeted by lots of white (the walls, cupboards and mattress). This contrasted very nicely with the teak flooring.
The chairs are comfortable but I always find myself either on the working desk (working and researching) or on the bed (resting).
I love the backdrop of Chao Phraya River!
I am sure you’d love the fact that they provide bathrobes too.
Club gSanook Suite comes with refrigerator and even an oven too!
The washroom is spacious and modern. There is also a rain shower unit!
One unique feature is this notice board where you can find promotions of the month!
This is the view from my room! Spot Terminal 21!?!
Breakfast @ Tabloid Bar & Bistro
Breakfast is located at Tabloid Bar & Bistro on Level 1 which is just beside the lobby. It’s actually an all-day dining restaurant. So if you are feeling lazy to head out, you can have you meal settled in Galleria 12.
My favourite place, the egg station!
My order is very standard, the ham and cheese omelette. The chef already remembered my order on the second day!
And here’s my simple breakfast! Got to mention the custard that they provide together with the jam spreads. It goes well with my croissant.
Some cereal to go along?
Personally I feel that the swimming pool is the prettiest during the night. The area is great if you’re looking to get a tan but don’t forget to come down at night to take some photographs!
Complimentary Tuk Tuk Shuttle
This tuk tuk shuttle brings you to the main road and this will have save you a 3-5 minute walk.
From the main road, you can easily walk to Terminal 21, BTS Asoke or MRT Sukhumvit which is just 5 minutes away. If you need a ride back to the hotel, all you have to do is just call the hotel and the tuk tuk will be out to pick you, even at night! I love this service!
For those who are looking for a brand new hotel near the trains (BTS and MRT), this is definitely one you should consider.
