Grand Swiss Hotel is a brand new hotel by Compass Hospitality. They started operations in May 2014 and is conveniently located at the beginning of Sukhumvit Soi 11, just 2 mins walk from BTS Nana. Extremely good for those who travel a lot by BTS as many hotels in Sukhumvit are located right in the middle or at the end of the sois.
Don’t worry, it’s not exactly near the infamous Nana Plaza. It is actually quite a distance away and it’s on the other side of the road.
Before you are able to see this hotel, you will first see a building under construction with a big poster advertising Grand Swiss Hotel, so just walk right in.
As you approach the entrance, you will already feel that this hotel indeed brings out the “grandness” right from the doorstep.
Be greeted by smiley and friendly staff at Grand Swiss Hotel.
Did you see my name on the TV screen? Well, if you want that, stay in the Executive Rooms! 🙂
Sit down and enjoy your welcome drink before heading up to your room. Let me brief you a little about the rooms here.

Premier / Executive Room (32sqm)
This is how the room looks like during the day. Full of Gold!
During the night, it looks even more luxurious!
Grand Swiss Hotel offers elegant furnishings with a modern Thai twist and throughout the rooms and hotel, you will find Thai artworks and decorations, specially brought in from Chiang Mai.
If you notice, you can look into the toilet from the room. But no worries, there are blinds there and you can just close the blinds for privacy.
Even the toilet looks luxurious. It just lacks a gold basin!
Good to see rain shower!
They do have twin beds options! However if yours is a connecting room, it will be 1 room with Twin bed and 1 room with King bed.
Grand Premier / Grand Executive Room (32sqm)
Executive Suite (46sqm)
The room decoration is the same as the other rooms, just that in Executive Suite, you have a bigger room with a living room and a bathtub included.
11th Avenue – An all-day international dining outlet where you can have international buffet breakfast and ala carte lunch and dinner.
I got to try some of their signature items from the ala carte lunch menu.
Deep Fried Vegetarian Spring Rolls [140฿] – Filled with sweet taro and carrots. Don’t forget to dip the sweet Thai Plum Sauce when eating fried finger food. It brings the dish to a whole new level!
Pork Chop [270฿] – Succelent pan fried Normande Style Pork Chop featuring creamy sauteed mixed button and straw mushrooms deglazed with white wine. It is also served with homemade mash potato which I felt was so delicious! Probably because the mash potato had already absorbed all the essence from the pork chop too! The pork itself was well marinated and was flavourful. Would have preferred it to be more tender and soft. But for those who love a firm bite, this is perfect for you.
Ice Coffee with Cocoa
Crème Brûlée – Soft, creamy and so delicious. I would say this is a must try!
Davos – Lobby bar and lounge
If you want to drink with a view, I recommend you to head up to their sky bar!
180° – Sky / Rooftop Bar (air-conditioned)
You can enjoy the sunset at the 19th floor of the hotel, overlooking Sukhumvit.
This is how the sky bar looks like. It’s a mini sky bar, not exactly big, just for a few groups to enjoy the night! So book before hand if you are coming.
For Executive Lounge members, you get to enjoy this:
Soft drinks / Wine / Beer with some peanuts
Some light bites, and finally a night view of the city.
The Dip – Great to have a soak in the water. The pool is not exactly big for you to swim and hence the name “dip”
Grand rooms providing a luxurious and comfortable stay. Located just 2 minutes away from BTS Nana makes travelling so much convenient!
Hotel not easily visible on Sukhumvit Soi 11, but will be improved since they just started operations.
If you travel a lot by BTS and want a hotel in Sukhumvit area, this is a excellent choice for you since it’s just 2 mins walk from BTS Nana. You get lots of street food outside the hotel too. Being a brand new hotel, everything is new but most importantly the stay was comfortable and luxurious without the price of a 5 star hotel.
