Who doesn’t know about the Hilton brand? I’m sure many would love to stay in Hilton Bangkok. And you really should. Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok is a luxurious 5 star hotel located at Sukhumvit Soi 24. Popular shopping centres such as Emporium and EmQuartier are just less than a 5 minute walk away too!
As you enter the lobby, you will notice how spacious it is.
Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok is definitely ready to welcome big group of tourists. Look at the amount of sofas at the lobby area.
In fact, the interior design of Hilton Sukhumvit is inspired by American Prohibition during the 1930’s. There’s also a love story of a pair of travellers, Jay and Daisy and you get to read about them around the hotel.
Jay and Daisy are travellers and they met at Hilton Sukhumvit. Do check out their story when you are here!
Hilton Sukhumvit Bangkok houses 280 guest rooms.
Upon entering, you will be greeted by natural wood accents and the room sure feels luxurious.
The stylish bathroom is also stunning because it is separated from the room with a glass wall and there’s even a bathtub for you to enjoy.
I must say that the bathroom is considered very spacious too.
Shampoo and Shower kit is by Peter Thomas Roth!
Here’s the beautiful view of EmQuartier from my room.
Breakfast @ Scalini / Mondo
Breakfast at a five star hotel won’t disappoint. In terms of variety, there is a large array of choices for you.
Once again, my favourite from Hilton will be their croissants!
If you are tired of international buffet for breakfast, good news! There’s another option for you at Mondo! You can have the Japanese breakfast set!
I ordered the grilled salmon teriyaki and it was served so beautifully. The taste doesn’t disappoint as well. Do be prepared for a short wait though as they need to prepare it fresh upon ordering.
You will also be served fruits at the end of your meal.
Remember the story of Jay and Daisy? You can see lots of luggage around because of their travel story.
The open kitchen where the staff prepare the food.
Pencil Prawn Spring Roll [200฿++] – This is really addictive because I almost finished the whole plate.
Pad Thai with Tiger Prawn [350฿++] – The famous Thai fried noodles. I would have liked it to be slightly sweeter though.
Indian Butter Chicken Curry with Roti [250฿++] – For Indian food lovers, you get to enjoy the butter chicken curry with lots of Indian spices.
Crackling Roasted Pork Leg [250฿++] – The roasted pork was delicious but it would be perfect if it was softer to bite. I must also mention that the mashed potatoes are really good! Can I just order a bowl of mashed potato?
Mondo Afternoon Tea [850฿] – This is 850 nett per set and it was really worth it. No wonder I see so many Japanese ladies of leisure around in the afternoon.
Dinner @ Scalini
Scanlini is an award winning Italian restaurant which focuses on providing memorable culinary experiences by applying modern twists to traditional Italian cuisine.
I got to try out some of their popular dishes.
Bread platter selection before the actual meal.
Sea Scallops [640฿++]
In The Air Tonight [1200฿++] – Roasted organic bresse pigeon with porto wine sauce
Seafood Spaghetti Pasta [800฿++] – This spaghetti is cooked in spicy marinara sauce. Spaghetti is cooked al-dente and it’s so flavourful. I love this dish!
Scalini Tiramisu [500฿++] – One of the best tiramisu I tasted in a while. The portion is big and good to share between 3. The tiramisu is made fresh right in front of your eyes using mascarpone cream, Illy espresso, marsala wine, lady finger and Italian biscotti.
There’s an infinity pool at Hilton Sukhumvit. Even though it’s smaller than the one at DoubleTree by Hilton Sukhumvit, this one offers a better view of Sukhumvit. Oh, did you spot Jay and Daisy by the pool?
Enjoy your workout with a beautiful view of the pool!
