Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road is a 5-star boutique design hotel which opened to much fanfare as Southeast Asia’s first property under the upscale boutique brand.
Do you know that no two Hotel Indigo properties around the world are alike as every Hotel Indigo differentiates itself with its unique design and features reflecting its immediate locality. They call this their “Neighbourhood Story”.
And for Bangkok, Hotel Indigo is located on Wireless (Wittayu) Road. The first radio station in Thailand happened to be on Wireless Road too, hence the many radio and wave designs in the hotel.
Although the hotel is modern and vibrant, it features many iconic items from yesteryear, which will be fascinating for those who might be familiar with them during their childhood.
Radios all around. Feel free to explore (but don’t break anything)!
The hallway is open-air to allow natural light and ventilation, very environmentally friendly!
Every room is designed with reference to the history of Wireless Road. You can see accessories such as old phones and radios, pictures of the old Wireless Road, etc.
This spacious 48sqm room features a beautiful view of Bangkok City which includes both city and garden landscapes.
A very cosy room!
The massive bathroom with gold basins!
What a beautiful sight. Sitting on the balcony enjoying the scenery is something you must do here!
Dinner @ CHAR
This is the perfect place to bring your date because you can enjoy your romantic dinner with a million dollar view!
Here are several signatures from the menu. From top left: Australian Beef Tartare (THB 680++), Fire-Grilled Asparagus (THB 550++) and Chorizo & Lobster Spaghetti (THB 2,900++).
One speciality here has to be their Kaisersschmarrn (THB 580++), a traditional Austrian fluffy pancake dessert that comes with generous portions of grapes. Get a glass of their signature mocktail (THB 250++) to complete the whole experience.
With a magnificent view coupled with the delicious food with flavours on point, CHAR promises a memorable experience.
Most hotel breakfasts have massive selections but many end up serving guests cold uninspiring food. Over here, the buffet spread is kept warm and you get to choose from made-to-order ala-carte selections too. You will definitely leave feeling full and satisfied.
Savoury choices with Western and Thai options.
Sweet choices of Waffles or Pancakes.
Don’t you just love infinity pools? This one also offers one of Bangkok’s best city views.
My stay in Hotel Indigo was during the Songkran period and the package included a BBQ lunch at the pool with 1hour of free-flow drinks! They also have periodic promotions which you can check out here.
A 24-hour gym is not common in many hotels so if you are staying here, you can definitely keep to your regular workout schedule in the midst of the daily feasting in Bangkok.
Hotel Indigo is located on Wireless road and the nearest BTS Train station – Ploenchit connects you to Central Embassy, which has Open House, one of Bangkok’s coolest indoor spaces.
Wireless Road might not be familiar to many but it’s a major office zone and home to many business hotels, so if you want something different, put Hotel Indigo on your list. This one-of-a-kind 5-star boutique hotel will ensure you go home rejuvenated and with many fond stories to tell.
