Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road

By Wilbur Suen

Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road is a new 5-star boutique design hotel which opened earlier this year to much fanfare because it’s Southeast Asia’s first Hotel Indigo. Some Singapore Food & Lifestyle Bloggers were invited to their official opening too. Is this hotel really so good? I went to check it out myself and I was totally amazed!

Friendly neighbourhood hosts which take care of guests with genuine Thai hospitality.

Do you know that no two Hotel Indigo properties around the world are alike as every Hotel Indigo differentiates itself with its unique design and features reflecting its immediate neighbourhood. They call it the “Neighbourhood Story”.

And for Bangkok, Hotel Indigo is located in Wireless (Wittayu) Road. The first radio station in Thailand happened to be on Wireless road too and hence you will actually see many radio and wave design in the hotel.

Although the hotel is modern and vibrant, it also features many things of the past, which is actually quite fascinating for many who have seen these items before during their childhood.

Radios all around. Feel free to touch but don’t break anything!

The hallway is open-air to allow natural light and ventilation, very environmentally friendly! There’s also a small portion of garden to reflect the lush tropical Bangkok’s iconic Lumpini Park, which is just few minutes away from the hotel.

Every item in the rooms is customised and designed with reference to the history of Wireless Road. You can see accessories such as old phones and radios, the old Wireless Road, etc.

King Chaiyapruek Executive Room

Chaiyapruek refers to “Pink Cassia”, the National Tree of Thailand. This room is 48sqm and you get a beautiful view of Bangkok City which includes both the city and garden landscape.

A very cosy room!

Customised mini-bar with customised cups.

Some neighbourhood guides to assist you to know more about your neighbourhood.

This bathroom is massive with a gold basin!!! Hello little ducky!

2 shower heads because you can sit down and bathe too.

Panpuri Shower products!

What a beautiful sight. Sitting at the balcony enjoying the scenery is something you must do here!

Royal Chaiyapruek Suite

The only suite in Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road. To see more of this room, please scroll up and see the video tour. 🙂

The rooms featured here are higher category rooms. The lower category rooms feature the same unique designs, but are smaller in size and have different window views. You can check out more about their room here.

Breakfast @ Metro on Wireless

I absolutely love the breakfast here! Most hotel breakfasts have massive selections but the taste usually is not that good and the food is usually cold. Over here, it’s different because for breakfast, you have 1) Buffet Selection (bread, cereals, drinks) + 2) Savoury Item + 3) Sweet Item. I guarantee you will definitely leave feeling full and satisfied.

Savoury choices with Western and Thai options.

Sweet choices of Waffles or Pancakes.

You will never go wrong when it’s freshly made. Well done Hotel Indigo Bangkok!

Swimming Pool

Don’t you just love Infinity-edge pool?

24 hours Gym

22 Steps Bar

This bar is named as such because you have to climb 22 steps from the lobby before reaching the hotel’s bar.

Such a long menu…

Must Order! “81”, Signature Cocktail of Hotel Indigo Bangkok. Oh, it costs 81฿++ too! Where to get such prices?!

Tom Yum Cashew Nuts, perfect companion for your drinks.

There is much more about this hotel that I couldn’t cover. I tried my best to reduce the length of the blog post but this is my best. You really have to come visit Hotel Indigo Bangkok for yourself.

This hotel is so impressive. Yes, add this hotel to one of my favourite hotels in Bangkok. The neighbourhood hosts + hotel + breakfast + facilities really made my stay memorable.
