Je Liep Seafood is a humble stall in Sanam Pao selling fresh and delicious seafood. Their main customers are locals. The stall looks very simple, with just table and chairs set up by the side of the road or in the alley. But one thing good is that it’s well lit.
Now time for the main thing here, the seafood! Every dish is served with a different kind of chilli sauce and every single one of them is delicious! You have to eat the dishes together with the chilli provided. You won’t regret it!
Giant River Prawns! These two prawns cost me 500 baht! Not cheap but worth it. If you order the standard portion which is 1kg, it costs about 1200-2000 baht, depending on the weight.
Steamed Crab Meat [400-600฿]. This is really good and I would say it’s well worth the price. The chunky pieces of crab meat justify themselves.
Grilled Pork [100-120฿]. The pork is tender, soft and delicious but at the same time, fatty!
Thai Shrimp Cakes [200-250฿]. My favourite item to order whenever I’m eating seafood is probably because I have had it since young.
Omelette with Pork [50฿]. Kai Jiao always goes well with rice.
Fried Rice with Crab Meat [120฿]. The owner recommended that I ordered the dish with crab meat and it was a good choice since the crab meat here is their best seller.
This is my new found favourite seafood place. It can be cheap or expensive, depending on what you order. They are open from 6pm – 4am, so it makes it a good supper place.
After eating, you can actually take a 10-minute walk to Victory Monument and you can continue with some shopping.
