Recommending you to eat porridge overseas might be a joke but the fact is, Thais love porridge and when a crowd is seen, it’s likely to be good and worth recommending. It is not the first time we are recommending a porridge stall but this one is special.
This shop called Joke Perd Mho Paradise (โจ๊à¸à¹€à¸›à¸´à¸”หม้ภสาขาพาราไดซ์ ศรีนครินทร์) is located opposite Paradise Park along Srinakarin Road. If you are visiting Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin, you may want to have dinner here before heading over since they are within the vicinity.
When I was here, majority of the customers were locals but I could also see a few tourists.
Check out the grilling station where they boil the claypot porridge! Don’t know what to order? No worries because they now have an English menu.
So basically you can choose the kind of porridge (Pork, Tom Yam or Spicy). They have several sets available for you to choose from but if you want to choose your own toppings, you can do it too.
Here comes my Tom Yam Porridge Seafood Set! It looks so delicious and I can’t wait to dig in.
The porridge is quite thick (gooey) and smokey but I wished they had more Tom Yam soup base so that the taste would be stronger.
For those who are not into porridge, they also serve instant noodles!
Is it worth travelling all the way here for this?
I like the Tom Yam Porridge here. It’s delicious but not to the standard that I will personally travel all the way here just to eat it. Perhaps if I’m around the area or if I’m visiting Talad Rot Fai Srinakarin, I will make a stop here for this.
