Kad Kokoa – Bangkok’s first bean-to-bar chocolate cafe

By Wilbur Suen

Kad Kokoa is Bangkok’s first bean-to-bar chocolate cafe. This is definitely a must-visit cafe for chocolate lovers. Kad Kokoa is located in Sathorn district on Soi Narathiwas Ratchanakarin 17. Their cafe is interesting because it is built from wood taken from the owner’s cacao plantation in Chiang Mai.

The founders of Kad Kokoa studied the art of bean grading in the U.S. and they found a beautiful piece of land in Chiang Mai where they started to grow their own cacao.

At Kad Kokoa, you get to enjoy chocolate drinks made from locally grown cacao beans.

Their Kad Kokoa process…

At the back of the cafe is the place for storing and processing cocoa beans.

Chocolate lovers, you need to try their 70% pure hot chocolate [B140]!

Beside the cafe is a small shop selling the single-origin chocolates made using beans from four provinces: Chiang Mai, Chanthaburi, Prachap Kirikhan and Chumpon. You can try them before purchasing!

This makes a good souvenir for your chocolate loving friends!

[Bangkok] Kad Kokoa paid for food review unless otherwise stated.
