Update: June 2019
Kaizen Coffee has relocated to few streets down the road and renamed “Kaizen Coffee Newold”. They are now at 888 Sukhumvit Soi 63 (Ekkamai).
Kaizen Coffee Co has been around for a few years now and it was a well-loved secret hangout kept by locals until recently. They are located at the end of Ekamai and hidden in a building, so you can’t really see it from the main road unless you walk in.
Once inside, you will be greeted by white minimalist decor.
This cafe is set up with influences from Australia, so you will definitely expect some really good coffee here. Not to worry if you are not a fan of coffee because they have other options too. So, you still can accompany your friends who love here.
Look at those coffeemakers!
Nitro Cold Brew [฿] – the most popular cold drink here. Drinking this feels like drinking draught beer because it’s also from the tap! It is really smooth and foamy. This will give you the kick to kickstart your engine for the day ahead.
Blonde Mocha [฿] – This is unlike any mocha which I had ever drank. I can say it’s probably the best mocha I have ever had! I like the sweet, sticky and slightly foamy top as when you drink, you can feel the light foam and thick topping blending together. You can order this with soy or almond milk as well.
Milo Mountain [฿] – Singaporeans and Malaysians will be familiar with this. To us, it’s called Milo Dinosaur. And yes, if you are not a fan of coffee, try out this drink.
Banana Bread [฿] – I saw it being brought out from the kitchen and I just had to order it to try since I did not have any breakfast. Glad I did it because it was served warm and I like the overall taste of it. It was so delicious.
Special S Blend [฿] – I also got to try their brand new signature house blend – Five S Blend. It is for those who like strong chocolaty, sweet, balanced and burnt sugar finish. If you love velvety coffee with a vibrant, candied sweet taste, check out their New Horizons Blend.
The seating at Kaizen Coffee Co is quite unique as it encourages you to open up and chit chat with the barristers too. For big groups, no worries because there are more seats on the second level.
If you love coffee, do check out Kaizen Coffee Co as many locals have called it their favourite Bangkok cafe. Try it and see if it will be your favourite cafe too!
