Singaporeans can finally have a healthier choice option at renown fast-food chain, Kentucky Fried Chicken. Say hello to the brand new KFC Signature Grilled Chicken! Thankfully, it’s not a steamed version but a grilled version which makes you want to bite a chunk of it upon the first look.
Hungry already? The KFC Signature Grilled Chicken is borne of more than a year of research and development, and consumer taste testing. That is probably why some of you might have seen this before at some outlets.
KFC uses a whole quarter leg chicken (a Singapore first for fast food restaurants), and I must say that it’s really huge and heavy. I even had difficulty taking up the chicken while my other hand was busy with the camera.
The secret in this grilled chicken lies in its signature marinate – a blend of paprika  chilli, pepper, garlic, onion and herbs. You get a slight hint of the spice upon the first bite but it’s bearable. It definitely won’t punch you in the face.
Of course, we recommend that you use your hands for that  finger lickin’  good experience!
The Signature Grilled Chicken Meal  [S$8.95], as seen in the picture above, includes one grilled quarter leg, one regular whipped potato, one regular coleslaw and one regular Pepsi black.
The Signature Grilled Chicken Box [S$10.95] includes one grilled quarter leg, two Hot & Crispy Tenders, one regular Fries, one regular Whipped Potato and one regular Pepsi Black.
If the Grilled Chicken is not healthy enough for you, get the new Garden Salad (a mix of mesclun salad served with sesame dressing) as a complement.
KFC Signature Grilled Chicken is available at all KFC restaurants, except KFC Changi Airport Terminal 1, Jurong West Street 51, KidZania, Oasis Terraces, Singapore Zoo and Toa Payoh Lorong 1.
