Maya is a new Rooftop Dining Indian Restaurant, sited on the largest cantilevered space in Thailand, the 29th floor of the new Holiday Inn Sukhumvit 22 Hotel. Since its opening, it has been gaining lots of attention (positive), perhaps due to the location, decor and the food offered.
Stepping out of the lift, it sorts of brings you to another country, India.
Be welcomed into the Indian Restaurant with Thai hospitality.
Upon entering the restaurant, you will see the open concept kitchen helmed by Chef Ramneek Singh Lamba, Â featuring 3 large authentic charcoal Tandoor Ovens, which are said to be the largest in Thailand.
A very elegant restaurant.
The bar is situated right in the middle  of the restaurant.
The black, golden fixtures and fittings together with the beautiful designed lighting makes this restaurant even more beautiful when after the sun sets.
Time now for some signature cocktails!
The bartender preparing for me some Signature Cocktails.
Watermelon Tadka Mojito (White rum, fresh watermelon and mint blended with ice with a hint of volcanic black salt). Â A very refreshing drink with a watermelon sorbet included, keeping it cool while retaining it’s watermelon taste.
That’s The Way I Like It (An exciting fusion of Aam Panna (mango cooked with cumin) topped with vodka and soda water). This is one of the signature cocktails with Indian Spices. It’s an acquired taste, you either like or dislike it.
Namak Pare, a crunchy and savoury indian snack to go along with your cocktails.
Papadam, a thin and crispy indian bread with various dips for you to choose.
I asked the waitress for the most popular item here and I followed her suggestion.
Makhani Chooza  (Pieces of marinated boneless chicken leg simmered in a rich tomato and fenugreek gravy).  A spicy dish which is extremely flavourful. It’s so delicious that you can stop eating! The portion is big enough for 2 people  to share.
Garlic Naan. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Excellent to go along with the dish above.
Intending to host your guests? They have a private room too.
An extensive selection of wine and drinks selection.
DJ spinning out some Bollywood tunes.

Beautiful and relaxed atmosphere with a nice scenery to enjoy over some food and drinks. Authentic indian food offered with a relatively big portion.

Nil.
= Conclusion
Service here is very good and the staff  is  well versed with the restaurant’s menu even though they are Thai. A good place to chill out over some drinks even though you don’t intend to have a meal here.
