There’s a brand new collective 7-star hotel located in Phrom Phong district at Sukhumvit 24. This new hotel houses 4-star Mecure and 3-star Ibis in one building and they are the first hotel from the main street of Sukhumvit 24 and perhaps one of the newest, offering the most value-for-money rooms from Ibis.
Phrom Phong is one of the districts I prefer to hang out over Siam as there are less crowds here but you still get the same abundance of restaurants around at both EmQuartier and Emporium shopping malls.
We will be staying at Mecure Bangkok Sukhumvit 24 and we love its location because it’s just steps away from EmQuartier.
Upon entering the lobby, you will realise this hotel is the Instagrammer’s heaven, with beautiful photo opportunities everywhere.
There are ample seating areas for you to work, relax or conduct short discussions.
For those who want a quick bite, there’s also an all-day lobby deli.
We can’t wait to head up to the infinity pool. And yes, we didn’t mention the room, but infinity pool instead. Read on and you will know why. But still, we need to unload our luggage in the room first.
Mecure Sukhumvit 24 features 201 rooms and suites with modern decor inspired by the fashionable EM District.
We love the chic-colourful rooms with beautiful city views of Sukhumvit.
The wardrobe area is different and it features an open-concept style.
The bathroom comes with rain-shower and also blinds which is controlled from the inside.
We like that the iron and ironing board is already provided in the room without the need to request from them separately.
You can’t stay at Mecure Sukhumvit 24 and not visit the stunning infinity pool.
This infinity pool offers stunning views, don’t you agree?
The building in front really makes a big difference to the backdrop and you just need to have photos taken here.
If you want to get stunning photos like this, here’s the secret. Wake up at 7am for this shot.
Also plus point for this hotel has to be the 7-11 which is housed in the same building. If you are feeling hungry in the middle of the night, just take the lift down and you can have your supper done at 7-11 without having to walk along the streets outside.
Dining is located at The Market Restaurant and you get to enjoy local and international cuisines in a relaxed setting with a beautiful backdrop of EmQuartier.
For those not planning to head out, you can choose to settle dinner in the hotel.
If you haven’t stayed in Phrom Phong district before, this is a good hotel to try out since it’s value-for-money considering it’s premium location. EmQuartier, Emporium and BTS Phrom Phong are just 100m away, and it’s only 1 station away from Asoke and Thong Lor. You will not be disappointed.
