myBed Ratchada opened it’s doors in September 2013 and is situated just opposite MRT Ladprao. For those who are in Bangkok only on the weekends and intend to just visit Chatuchak (JJ) Market and Union Mall, this is the perfect place for you. They are just 2 stations away!
After exiting from MRT Ladprao (Exit 4), you will see myBed Ratchada just across the road. You have to take the overhead bridge as seen in the above picture to cross to the other side.
Some news for those who love shopping: A new mega shopping mall (Suan Lum Night Bazaar Ratchadapisek) nearby is in the works and will start opening toward the last quarter of 2014. It is probably Platinum Fashion Mall (Budget) + Central World (Mid-High) + Night Bazzar. In fact, on their website, it says that it is a shopping center with a 24 hours supermarket & restaurant, 4 stars-rated hotel, service apartment, office, thai boxing gym, theatre, water park, mini zoo, world museum and much more. Definitely looking forward to its opening!
Alright, back to the hotel now after the shopping centre teaser.
Upon entering myBed, proceed to the reception to get your check-in administration done.
There is a simple resting area in the lobby and you can also use the computer provided.
If you like reading, there are lots of magazines too!
This is like a no-frills hotel and whatever you would like to have, you just have to top-up the amount and pay.
This is what is see at the lift lobby. Advertisements and also greetings.
The room at myBed Ratchada is simple and good for the night stay. The bed is big and comfortable with soft pillows provided. I took a nap and had difficulty waking up on the soft bed!
The washroom however looks a little dated.
If you bring your laptop along with you, do note that the working table is very small and you practically do not have space for your laptop unless you put the remote controls, tissue box and cups away.
My room was facing the main road and during the day, the room can be quite noisy. Night time was much better since the traffic is lesser too! Perhaps if you are staying here, get the room facing the other side.
There is no breakfast or cafe in this hotel, so if you are really hungry, you can purchase these items provided.
Modern rooms with soft bed and pillows, situated close to MRT Ladprao.
Room is a little noisy during the day as it’s next to the main road. Perhaps getting a room facing the other side will be better.
If Chatuchak Weekend Market and Union Mall are the main places that you will be visiting, myBed Ratchada is a good choice if you are looking for a budget hotel.
