Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20 just celebrated their first year anniversary 2 months ago and they are also one of the newest Novotel hotel in Bangkok. They are also the new flagship Novotel for the world, featuring the new DNA of Novotel.
Located in Sukhumvit Soi 20, they are in the midst of Asoke and Phrom Phong but BTS Asoke will definitely be nearer in terms of distance. With such a good location, they are blessed with good room occupancy.
The new lobby is actually more open and you can see the integration of food and beverage being part of check in and check out process. With that, you see a spacious lobby with lots of comfortable seatings.
Having stayed in many Novotel branded hotels around Bangkok, I could clearly see the difference in the styling and technology used.
Rooms
There are 244 rooms in Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20 with 5 different room types. As usual, we will be focusing on the room that we stayed in.
Superior Room
The new Novotel design language features more colours and design lines. The pillows used here are also different and this style of “smart pillows” provide more support for a better night sleep. You can use it for your back support too.
The beds are also softer, making this Novotel hotel more special compared to the rest.
The flooring at Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20 uses wood instead of the usual carpets which you will find in other Novotel properties in Bangkok.
You can a simple working desk and a small couch for you to relax before you bath.
The bathroom style large remains similar with a new interesting mirror with lights.
Rain shower is included here!
Look at the beautiful scenery, featuring EmQuartier and Dinosaur Park. You can actually walk to EmQuartier / Emporium if the weather is fine.
Breakfast @ Food Exchange
The breakfast spread is well concentrated in the middle of the restaurant and you can see the chefs in action.
My favourite pastries for breakfast, as always
You can expect a large array of international buffet selection featuring salad, bacon, cereals and more. There’s also a noodle station where you can try some Thai noodles.
Facilities
Spot that infinity pool? Even though it’s not very big, the infinity pool makes up for it. I’m sure many of you would want to take some bikini shots here.
If you are lazy to walk to the BTS stations, not to worry as the hotel has a Tuk Tuk shuttle which will bring you to the main road, significantly reducing the walking distance to BTS Asoke and Terminal 21.
When staying in Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20, don’t miss out their rooftop bar – Sky on 20! It’s the first rooftop bar in Bangkok for a Novotel brand.
You can enjoy the cool breeze over some cocktails.
The sofas here are really comfortable too and the glass partitions really allow you to enjoy the views of Sukhumvit.
If you are lucky, there will be a DJ playing some tunes to make the evening even more special.
