Oriental Residence emits a very special feel. I had felt it on the day I stepped into their hotel last year for Afternoon High Tea at Cafe Claire. I secretly thought that it would be good if I could stay here next time.
Fast forward a year later, I was invited to stay at the posh, luxury and elegant Oriental Residence Bangkok. It’s not your typical hotel that houses big tour groups. Oriental Residence is very private, catering to guests who places emphasis on a personalised level of service with traditional Thai hospitality.
Check-in was done in comfort sitting down.
I was escorted up to my room and I could not wait to check the rooms out!
Rooms
Grand Deluxe Rooms
Grand Deluxe is the entry level room of Oriental Residence. It is spacious and the cream colour tones of the room complements the wooden flooring.
You can find several customised fixtures unique to Oriental Residence. One of them is the TV console area.
As the name “residence” suggests, every room here is ready for long-term residents as well as short stays. With that, you get a full kitchen for you to do your cooking if you like.
The open wardrobe is connected to the washroom.
The washroom tiles give it a posh feel.
When it turns dark, the bed becomes very inviting.
Breakfast @ Cafe Claire
At Oriental Residence, you get to try different Thai dishes on the buffet line together with an ala-carte breakfast option + choice of TWG Tea.
I prefer this kind of breakfast because it will be served hot and fresh, which is something I place high emphasis on.
I ordered Omelette with Herbs and mind you, even the plate that the food was served in was hot.
Facilities
Swimming Pool
I like the swimming pool here. Nice for a quick swim and comfortable to just chill by the pool on the lounge beds that are so comfortable.
The night view is beautiful too!
Gym
The gym at Oriental Residence is open 24 hours, so you can even work out late at night.
The luxurious stay at Oriental Residence was nothing but perfect! I love the private and personalised level of service with true Thai hospitality.
We really need to pamper ourselves once in while to enjoy the finer things in life. :)
