Pad Thai Sala Daeng is easily one of the Best Pad Thai in Bangkok. It may even overtake the ever popular Thip Samai Pad Thai. I have been to Thip Samai many times and the standard of their Pad Thai has been fluctuating. But one thing that will not change about Thipsamai is their Orange Juice!

Pad Thai Sala Daeng is open only in the daytime. It is extremely simple, no frills, with no photos of famous artists, or newspaper cuttings. But they serve extremely delicious Pad Thai.

So where is it?

It is located at Silom, Sala Daeng Soi 2, behind Silom Complex. I will show you the exact directions to get here, right below!

There are no signboards at all. Just a simple facade.

Pad Thai Sala Daeng - Interior

The interior does not look very good as well. It’s a 100-year-old Thai house. If I don’t tell you this place serves good food, I bet you won’t even step in here.

And so, this is Khun Pranee cooking the delicious plate of Pad Thai.

Pad Thai Sala Daeng - Cooking

The secret to this delicious Pad Thai is the tamarind sauce which they made themselves. It requires hours of simmering and it’s hard work! It makes the Pad Thai very flavourful and the noodles are cooked to perfection, every strand is soft and delectable.
