Pala-U Waterfall is located in Kaeng Krachan National Park, a 1000-year-old forest, 60km west of Hua Hin. It takes about 1 hour to drive here. This is one of the largest parks and is located right next to Burmese (Myanmar) border.

It’s actually on the same side near Hua Hin Hills so you can consider coming here before Hua Hin Hills.

There’s an admission fee of  400฿ for adults and 200฿ for  children. Not especially cheap for foreigners.

The waterfall has 16 steps, making it one of the highest in Thailand. However, most can only go up till 3 steps where there is a large pool.

Do note that the path is not exactly easy, it may require a bit of climbing. Please beware of slippery stones.

This is what we get at Level 3. Not exactly high waterfalls.

Many visitors will spend the time at the large pool enjoying the cool and refreshing water.

At level 3, this is what you get. So climb with care.

We didn’t want to climb up further and this is what we got. If you are more adventurous, you can go up further. :)
