When we talk about Thai fine dining, only a few names come to mind. I must admit that I pass by Royal Osha quite often but haven’t heard or thought of dining here. Having tried the food and visited Royal Osha myself, I am convinced that it is one of the strongest players in the category of Thai fine dining in Bangkok.

Royal Osha is located just by the junction of Wittayu Road and Soi Ruamrudee. You won’t miss this place if you enter / exit via Soi Ruamrudee.

Simply by looking at the interior of Royal Osha, I was already impressed.

Roya Osha is helmed by experienced Executive Chef Vichit Mukura, formerly of Khao and Mandarin Oriental Hotel (for 3 decades!). Today, we get to try their 5 Course Christmas Tasting Menu.

Deep-Fried Prawn with Betel Leaves Fritters.

Hokkaido Scallop with Spicy Spring Bitter Cucumber Sauce.

Gaeng Som (Sweet & Sour Soup with Red Grouper).

Pan-Fried French Spring Chicken Roll with Steamed Rice, Cereal, Chestnut and Berries Basil Sauce.

Dates Muffin with Pandan Custard and Fresh Berries.

The dishes of the tasting menu had more of an international feel, highlighting red and green hues to match the festive spirit. The star to me was the Gaeng Som with Red Grouper, definitely one of the best versions of Gaeng Som I ever had.

We also got to try some of their Thai staples such as the ever-popular Pad Thai.

I must say that the food here is delicious, especially their authentic Thai dishes which were especially memorable. They also put in a lot of effort in terms of plating to make it visually-engaging.

Our meal also came with tea pairing and we were told that it’s a very popular option for those who don’t want to go for wine pairing. I’m also impressed by the effort taken to present the different kinds of tea. So beautiful right?

After the meal, don’t forget to take some photos at this spot. And if you want more of such photos, just order their cocktails!

There are more seats on the 2nd level, which looks equally classy and comfortable.

Royal Osha completes the whole package in terms of food and decor. If you are looking to bring your guests/clients to somewhere with good food and atmosphere, this is an option that will not disappoint.

This was an invited media tasting. As always, all reviews and opinions are entirely my own.
