When we mention Bangkok’s Tom Yum Noodles, a few names will come to mind – Pee Aor & Jeh O. Yes, both are popular with locals and tourists alike but there are usually long queues at these shops. We have found another Tom Yum Noodle place which serves simple yet delicious tom yum noodle soup – Ruai Zabb Tom Yam Kai Wan.
Ruai Zabb Tom Yam Kai Wan is located on Level 4 of Union Mall. It is among the cluster of restaurants near the escalators. Just look for a orange-themed shop!
They are famous for their Tom Yum Noodles (from 70฿), so if you don’t like Tom Yum, there’s little left on the menu aside from some deep-fried side dishes.
Here’s how you can order your noodle soup from their vast menu. It’s actually the same tom yum soup base, but you get to choose the preferred toppings (wanton, meat, salmon, mushrooms, etc) and also the noodle type. It will also come with eggs (kai wan).
You can choose from different noodle options such as Ba Mee, Mama noodles, Sen Lek, etc. Personally, we prefer to go for Sen Lek or Mama noodles.
There’s also the mushroom option for toppings if you don’t feel like having any meat.
We recommend you get the chicken wings as a side to complement your noodle soup. You won’t regret it.
