There are so many new changes at the last quarter of 2019 and we have seen many new openings of shopping centres and even MRT. This time, there’s a new shopping centre at Samyan district called Samyan Mitrtown.
Samyan Mitrtown is located beside Chulalongkorn University and also very near to places like MBK, Sala Daeng and Silom. To get here by public transport, just take the MRT to Samyan Station and exit via Exit 2.
You will then pass by a very popular photo spot which is a MRT tunnel. Walk to the middle of the tunnel and you will find a section with transparent panels!
Samyan Mitrtown is divided into 2 sections. The indoor section is a shopping mall which opens from 10am to 10pm while the outdoor section houses many 24 hours shops.
This is Big C’s first 24 hour outlet. Don’t expect a mega outlet like the rest but this is a smaller version of Big C.
Here’s the list of shops that opens 24 hours:
- Big C
- Samyan Co-Op
- à¸à¹‹à¸§à¸¢à¹€à¸•à¸µà¹ˆà¸¢à¸§à¹€à¸£à¸·à¸à¸žà¸£à¸°à¸™à¸„ร (Boat Noodles)
- เà¸-ราเมง (Ramen)
- Shabu Shi
- Kerry Express
- Celebrity Fitness
- C Asean
- SCB Express
Another attraction at Samyan Mitrtown is Muji. It’s the largest in Bangkok and they feature a coffeeshop (cafe) inside featuring coffee beans from Doi Tung!
Shopping wise, don’t expect the same scale and variety as familiar names like Platinum Fashion Mall or MBK because there are lesser options here but if you want to shop, you still can find something to buy.
If the weather is good, head up to the rooftop and you can find a garden where you can enjoy nice scenery surrounding Samyan Mitrtown.
Just to manage expectations, as Samyan Mitrtown is located just beside Chulalongkorn University, this mall feels very catered to them as there are many co-learning spaces and most of the shops are already almost fully occupied by students.
