Fans of the famous Pratunam Wanton Mee will be happy to know that there is a shop selling similar kind of wanton noodles in Singapore. Singaporeans can now satisfy their craving without having to fly to Bangkok.
The name of this stall is called “Soi 19 – Thai Wanton Mee” and it draws inspiration from the actual shop in Pratunam where it’s located at Petchburi Soi 19.
Fun Facts: “Soi” Â is otherwise known as “Street“.
Unlike the one in Bangkok, this stall solely sells  Wanton Mee / Noodle.
Prices for the small bowl starts from S$3.50, medium bowl for S$4 and large bowl for S$5. Over here, you can order according for your appetite. Of course, the bigger portion will include extra ingredients (such as chinese sausages and extra wanton).
Any differences from the one in Bangkok? Well, they indeed have the same taste but the noodles here seem to be more Q, probably because of the different noodles used. I also like the char siew as its softer, tender and sweeter. The fried wanton is delicious as well. However, I felt that the noodle was a little too oily. Yes, it also comes with the chill flakes! In general, I would say that those who like Pork Lard will love this.
So, fans of Sabx2 Wanton Noodle, you can now satisfy your craving even in Singapore. It is located at Blk 151, Ang Mo Kio Ave 5 coffeeshop. You may want to checkout their Facebook Page (link below) to find out any latest updates or call them before heading down to get your fix.
