Update: March 2020
They have decided not to reopen the shop and will only be doing catering/events for above 50 pax. Interested parties may contact them at 081-206-9601.
With the cleanup of Sukhumvit Soi 38, many local residents and tourists have been trying to locate the new location of some of their favourite stalls. One of them is the famous Ba Mee (Wanton Noodles).
They used to be the last stall on Sukhumvit Soi 38 and they have a group of loyal customers. After the cleanup, they took a break, went back to Sukhumvit Soi 38 for a short while but later closed again for quite a long period.
During their disappearance, they have been catering to private events only.
Our Bangkok correspondent, Eddie (Stranger in Bangkok) managed to track them down and so here’s the good news! They are now located at Chaloem Phrakiat Soi 30. By the way, it’s nowhere near Sukhumvit Soi 38.
Are they the same owners? Well, it must be because they retained my sticker which I gave them previously.
To get here, you have to enter Udomsuk Road and drive all the way straight for about 10 minutes. It is actually located opposite King Rama 9 Park. You should be able to spot a 7-11 and local convenience shop at Chaloem Phrakiat Soi 30.
The shop is now run by these 2 ladies while the men concentrate on private events.
Of course, we had to try it once again to ensure that the taste and quality are still there. We are happy to say that it tasted the same and was just as delicious.
They are open every day from 12:30pm to 10pm. However, please give them a call at 081-206-9601 to check before heading down.
