Update: TGIF Market will be back for another run on the following dates and location.
Date: 9-11 February 2018
Venue: Central World Square B
TGIFest, The Garden of TFest is a new night market in Bangkok which opened in May. They are located at Fragrant Park, beside Sukhumvit Soi 36 and is accessible by BTS Thonglor.
Similar to Artbox, TGIFest is also a temporary pop-up night market. They are open on Fri – Sun from 3 to 11pm.
The current chapter of TGIFest will run till 17 July and we are unsure if it will be extended.
The vibe here is quite similar to Artbox and you can also find many instagrammable food. Some of the vendors are similar to what you see in Artbox while some are new.
You can even find Frozen S’mores, made was actually made popular by Dominique Ansel Bakery from New York and they also have a branch in Tokyo. This version here definitely could not compete with the original but if you are not travelling to New York or Tokyo anytime soon, why not try something almost similar here.
BBQ Pork Ribs. After applying the BBQ sauce, it is torched! I actually see many stalls using the torch and it is also very good for photo taking.
Chicken Wings!
Waffles! Check our their free samples before you buy.
This is one of the stalls in Artbox which had long queues. Over here, you don’t have to queue yet since not many people know of this market.
You don’t have to go to a seafood restaurant to satisfy your craving of seafood. If you just want some small bits, this is a good place.
You can see many teenagers around.
There are also sufficient seats all around for people to sit down and enjoy the food.
There’s also a photo booth by Fragrant Park, most likely promoting the property here.
Daniel Thaiger food truck selling burgers!
Look at that Giant River Prawn!
Mango Cheesecake Ice! This caught my eyes! The mango and cheesecake was delicious but if the ice were to be finer, it would be good!
Event photographer taking photos of customers and I am taking a photo of him taking photos.
The food section is definitely going to be more crowded than the shopping section.
The shopping centre is right beside the food section and what I like is that it’s actually a tentage with air condition!
Shopping in comfort. I just had to come in to enjoy the cool air.
Fashionable clothes for the ladies.
Some handphone casings? You can even customise your casing.
Camera straps!
As TGIFest is not a permanent night market, it is advisable to double check on their opening dates before heading now.
