Thai Festival 2022 is back!

For the first time since 2019, The Royal Thai Embassy is organizing Thai Festival 2022 under the theme “Muay Thai” from 4 – 6 November (Friday – Sunday), 10 AM – 8 PM on the grounds of the Royal Thai Embassy, Orchard Road.

Thai Festival is a street market event organized annually at the premises of the Royal Thai Embassy on Orchard Road to promote Thailand, Thai culture, products and cuisine amongst Singaporeans, as well as foreigners living in Singapore, which unfortunately could not take place for the last few years because of the pandemic.

What to expect at Muay Thai-themed Thai Festival this year?

This year’s Thai Festival is organized under the theme “Muay Thai” with an aim to promote and showcase Muay Thai, which is not only a unique contact sport and martial art, but also a deeply-rooted cultural heritage and the national sport of Thailand.

The Embassy is partnering with World Boxing Council Muaythai (or WBC Muaythai) in Singapore, ONE Championship and local Muay Thai gyms to raise awareness and educate the public by conducting Muay Thai workshops, as well as provide athletes with a safe and competitive platform to hone their skills, meaning there will be actual Muay Thai competitions happening at the Thai Festival, sanctioned by WBC Muaythai Singapore, featuring the best of Thai, local and international Muay Thai fighters.

What about the usual Thai festivities?

Apart from Muay Thai, there will also be more than 30 stalls selling Thai delicacies and Thai merchandise ranging from jewellery, fashion, gifts, decorative accessories and health/beauty products.

Will there be food sampling?

Yes! Tourism Authority of Thailand will be sponsoring cooking demonstrations and free samples of Thai desserts imported from Thailand. Do come down to try the food samples!

You can even collect free gifts from Tourism Authority of Thailand’s booth. All you have to do is to show that you have followed them on their social media accounts.

Last but not least, there will be lucky draws where you can stand to win attractive prizes during the eventful 3-day festival. For purchases above $50, you will be eligible for the daily lucky draw.
