The Roof Gastro is Siam@Siam Design Hotel’s Rooftop Bar. Located on the 25th floor, the rooftop bar offers you a 360 ° view of Siam and it’s surroundings.
If you love sports and football, you will be glad to have a full view of National Stadium in action especially during live matches. On one side, you get the view of the skyscrapers of Siam and on the other side, without any building obstructions, the old Bangkok.
Siam@Siam Delight [350฿++]. Coming to a rooftop bar, you definitely need to try out their signature cocktails. Take a sip, enjoy the cool breeze and magnificent views of sunset.
As the sun sets, the rooftop bar is lit up, giving you a totally different view which is just as beautiful.
Time for dinner! But first, some bread. The Roof Gastro specialises in fine French cuisine. The food here is prepared in a way where the original flavours are still retained so that you can really taste the original without the sauce covering the taste.
Grilled Tiger Prawn Salad [390฿++] – The fresh smoky tiger prawn is on top of a bed of green apple, goat cheese and citrus dressing.
Sablefish in Salty Crust [990฿++] – I like how soft the fish is because it melts in your moth. The accompanied gravy is light yet works well with the fish. The side comes with Sautéed New Harvest Potatoes and Mushrooms.
Pan-seared Beef Sirloin [1390฿++] – It’s done in Burgundy style, served with dauphine potatoes and red wine sauce. Nicely done!
Jumbo Scallops [790฿++] – I love this juicy jumbo scallops with deep fried cromesqui served with white truffle and hollandaise sauce. Definitely a favourite with truffle lovers!
Opera Cake [195฿++] – Chocolate layered cake with macaroons and berries. Good way to end your meal.
More alcohol. This time, Craft Beers! Siam@Siam is having a promotion of 6 Bottles of Craft Beers at 1199฿ nett. The various craft beers is indeed a mystery because you don’t know what it tastes like until you drink it.
Enjoy the beautiful and colourful rooftop bar once more before leaving.
This was an invited media tasting but opinions, as always, are my own.
