Thyme Eatery and Bar is a new restaurant in town serving up food inspired by broad European and Spanish influences. Oh, make sure you read all the way to the end of the page because you will have a reward later.
Thyme has a modern industrial atmosphere which is relaxing and casual and I love how they make use of natural sunlight with the vast amount of glass panels.
The name “Thyme” is actually one of the most popular culinary herbs that is native to Southern Europe and is used as a main ingredient in many dishes.
Thyme serves “All-Day Dining” from 11:30am to 11pm.
Nice photo right?
Let’s start off with some drinks.
Dirty Sour [320฿] – One of Thyme’s signature cocktail. Refreshing and sour passion fruit based cocktail.
Thyme Tea [100฿] – I love how this is presented. It comes in a glass one shaved milk ice with test tubes of thai tea.
Roast Beef Toast [290฿] – If you take beef, order this! The very tender beef with brie cheese and caramelised onion on toast! Everything just blends so well together.
Iberian Ham [550฿] – Thyme uses the finest ‘Jamón Ibérico de Bellota’, cured for 36 months.
Burrata [360฿] – Burrata is a fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream and served with tomato, rocket and pesto. To enjoy burrata, you have to eat it together with all the ingredients on the plate.
Seafood Paella [1100฿] – Paella is the star here and I will make a trip back anytime just for the paella. The fresh seafood, flavours and textures of this paella are all on point and I just could not stop eating this.
Rack of Lamb [850฿] – The crusted mediterranean herbs on the side of the lamb went so well with the meat. If you take lamb, you should try this too.
Torrija [160฿] – French toast with berries and vanilla ice cream. We definitely can’t say no to desserts. Take a bit of everything (bread, berries and ice cream) and put it into your mouth to experience all the different taste and texture.
Churros [100฿] – I can’t say no to churros when I see it on the menu. It comes with white chocolate and dark chocolate dip so probably dipping both is the best option.
If you are looking for a good Spanish restaurant in town, do check out Thyme Eatery and Bar. I’m amazed by the food here, especially the paella.
To get here, you need to take a taxi. If you want to save on taxi, take to stations BTS (Chong Nonsi) or MRT (Lumpini) and transfer to a taxi.
