Touka Restaurant is one of those which I randomly came across. Staying in Dusit Thani Bangkok, I decided to explore the surroundings to find some good food. While walking in the back alleys, I came across this attractive Japanese restaurant from the outside and decided to check out their feed on Instagram.

While doing so, it started to rain and since the feed looked good, I decided to head in.

Nice entrance right? It really had that Japanese vibe.

Touka is a comfortable restaurant, offering different style seats (Japanese style).

You can get a good view of the chef preparing your orders.

toukabangkok-uniikuradon

Uni Ikura Don [980฿] – This was the most ordered item (as seen on Instagram). Loving both uni and ikura, it made sense to order this. Don’t expect this to be a big bowl as I was quite surprised by the small  portion.

This bowl of don was sure satisfying with the fresh uni and ikura. If not for the high price, I would have ordered a second portion. Since my stomach was not really full, it seems like a good idea to order some yakitori.

They had quite a wide range of yakitori, skewers and grilled items.

IMO, the yakitori which I ordered was too saltish for my liking.

I will probably be back for their uni and ikura don if I happen to be in the vicinity, craving for some authentic Japanese  food in a comfortable environment.

Do let us know if you happen to be here before and tried other items on the menu which are delicious. :)

toukabangkok-thankyou

When you leave the restaurant, you will be greeted by all the staffs loudly and also, with a thank you sign!
