Yuutaro Japanese Restaurant  opened their doors last week (mid October 2013) and for the past few days, their restaurant has  been full! It really says something about this place.

Situated at Sukhumvit Soi 51 (right at the end before the junction), Yuutaro prides itself on being traditional yet bold adopting contemporary modern Japanese cuisine philosophies. Having said that, they are a Premium Japanese Restaurant and the price range is relatively high. But you will definitely be guaranteed on the freshness of every dish!

Yuutaro - Facade

A really beautiful restaurant.

Yuutaro - Facade Yuutaro - Interior

Waitress here wears the Yukata (traditional Japanese clothing). The deco and the setting here makes you feel as if you are not in Bangkok but in Japan.

Yuutaro - Interior

Plenty of seats as compared to other Japanese restaurants. However, do make a reservation before coming as this place is so popular that it was full house after a week of operations!

Chefs preparing all the fresh ingredients here.

Yuutaro - Green Tea

I opted for Japanese Green Tea as my beverage.

Yuutaro - Appetizer
Horenso Goma-ae (Boiled Horenso Spinach with Sesame Dressing) –  THB$180

The sesame dressing makes the plain and simple vegetable so delicious.

Yuutaro - Soft Shell Crab
Soft Shell Crab Karaage (Deep Fried Soft Shell) – THB$380

When the soft shell crab was served, I was amazed by the size of it. It looks huge! The “shells” are lightly crisp, making it easy on the stomach. The meat inside on the other hand is soft and juicy.

Yuutaro - California Maki
California Maki Full Roll (Inside-out roll of Avocado, Crabstick, Asparagus, Shrimp and Flying Fish Roe) –  THB$300

As mentioned, every ingredient used in the roll is so fresh and they are indeed generous with the fish roe. Look at that! With fresh ingredients, everything tastes good. Even the wasabi used here is different, I call it “Atas Wasabi”.

Yuutaro - Green Tea Lava Molten CakeGreen Tea Lava Cake (Chocolate Cake with Molten Green Tea Filling served with Green Tea Ice Cream) – THB$200

The Green Tea Lava Cake here is the best selling dessert. It’s such a beautiful combination and they managed to do it extremely well. Just  by looking at the pictures, I’m sure you can tell  that it is delicious.

They have an array of choices for you to order but ordering can be challenging as they do not have many  pictures on the menu and it’s mainly text.

Although the price is relatively high, I really enjoyed my meal here as every ingredient used here is super fresh and the food you get is of the utmost quality!  You just have  to taste it for yourself.
